Oley Valley High School started its golf season on a strong note Thursday, capturing victories in a tri-match competition at Golden Oaks. The team’s balanced scoring performance secured the top spot with a team total of 312, edging out two regional opponents.
Leading the charge for Oley Valley were three standout golfers who fired solid rounds. Chloe Pride carded a 76, while Michael Henin and Jake Fink contributed scores of 77 and 78 respectively. Matt Rubendall rounded out the scoring with an 81 as the team dominated the competition.
Gov. Mifflin finished in second place with a score of 340, paced by Brady Morris’s low round of 75. Schuylkill Valley placed third in the field with a team score of 360. The early-season success signals promising momentum for Oley Valley as the high school golf season progresses across the Berks County region.
