Aston Villa’s pursuit of Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha appears to have stalled, with Bayern Munich’s sporting director Max Eberl declaring there is virtually no possibility of reaching a deal. Eberl made the comments during a press conference where he outlined Bayern’s transfer strategy ahead of the September 1st deadline. He acknowledged that Aston Villa had expressed interest in acquiring Palhinha but emphasized that multiple rounds of discussions had failed to produce any agreement. The Bayern official stressed that the current circumstances make a transfer extremely unlikely.
