The developer revealed that “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” will premiere simultaneously across multiple platforms on August 27, with Netflix hosting the debut at 3 p.m. ET, while the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the game’s website will follow at 9 p.m. ET the same day.
Netflix highlighted the initiative as a groundbreaking collaboration, describing it as an unprecedented partnership to present an extended preview of the upcoming installment in the legendary gaming franchise. The release of this extended footage comes months after pre-orders began in June, with the standard edition priced at $79.99 and the ultimate version available for $99.99.
Set in Vice City, USA, the game follows characters Jason and Lucia as they navigate a dangerous conspiracy across the fictional state of Leonida. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the launch version will focus exclusively on single-player gameplay in what the company describes as the franchise’s most expansive and immersive iteration to date, with no mention of multiplayer or online features at this time.
