Renowned artist Alicia Keys has expanded her representation by entering into a comprehensive agreement with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) across all areas of her career. The multi-platinum performer, who released her breakthrough debut album “Songs in A Minor” in 2001, has accumulated approximately 65 million record sales throughout her career. Keys continues to expand her creative reach beyond music, currently serving as the subject of a Broadway production titled “Hell’s Kitchen,” which showcases her original music and lyrics while drawing inspiration from her upbringing in 1990s New York. The musical production garnered significant recognition, including two Tony Awards from 13 nominations and a 2025 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
In addition to her entertainment endeavors, Keys remains actively involved in industry advocacy as a founding member of She Is the Music, an organization dedicated to supporting women’s professional development within the music sector. The artist is managed by Roc Nation and previously maintained representation with WME for nearly 15 years prior to this new partnership.
Separately, Songwriters of North America (SONA) has opened nominations for its 2026 Emerging Songwriter Award, presented by YouTube Songwriters. The award recognizes SONA members who demonstrate originality, artistic craft, and commitment to creative integrity. Applicants must have released at least three songs publicly within the past two years and completed at least three outside cuts for other artists. Five finalists will be selected by SONA membership, with the winner announced at the organization’s Annual Awards ceremony scheduled for October 29, 2026, in Los Angeles. The nomination period concludes on August 14, 2026.
