The campaign specifically names Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, and Morgan Seymour as beneficiaries, citing that these individuals have faced death threats, violent threats, and defamatory statements following their association with Wells on the Fourth of July boat outing where the teenager was last seen before his death. Benjamin Hudson, Warren’s father, stated that the fundraiser aims to combat harassment and coordinated attacks rather than suppress legitimate inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Wells’ death.
