Known for his striking prowess in the UFC, Michael “Venom” Page is venturing into unfamiliar territory by competing in freestyle wrestling. The fighter has secured a bout against seasoned veteran Alexander Shlemenko at RAF 14, scheduled for October 3 at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. The cruiserweight matchup will be available to stream on FOX Nation.
Page, who previously fought in Bellator before joining the UFC two years ago, has compiled an impressive 4-1 record in the organization. His most recent victory came in March when he earned a unanimous decision over Sam Patterson. Shlemenko, his opponent, also boasts a notable background in combat sports, having earned multiple accolades during his time with Bellator, including three middleweight title defenses and tournament victories. Despite being 42 years old, Shlemenko continues to compete professionally with 89 fights on his resume, with his latest bout occurring in June in Russia.
RAF 14 marks Page’s inaugural appearance with the wrestling promotion. The event will feature a headlining matchup between UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan and Dillon Danis, drawing significant attention to the card taking place in Las Vegas.
