Rosario Dawson has revealed that footage featuring her character Claire Temple ended up on the cutting room floor for the latest Spider-Man installment. The actress, who portrays the nurse character throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, disclosed during an appearance at GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina, that she filmed a scene for Spider-Man: Brand New Day that ultimately did not make it into the theatrical release.
Dawson shared the news with humor, jokingly referring to herself as “a reject of Spider-Man” while recounting how she had already prepared behind-the-scenes photos to share with her mother in celebration of the appearance. The actress expressed genuine disappointment about the cut, noting that Spider-Man holds special significance in her life due to her uncle’s work as a comic book artist who originally drew the character.
Despite the disappointment, Dawson remains optimistic about future opportunities within the Spider-Man universe. She expressed hope that she might portray Claire Temple again in another project, emphasizing her appreciation for the character’s place within the broader MCU landscape.
