The inaugural season of Dunkman, a professional basketball dunking league, culminates this week with its championship final. Founded this summer by TNT Sports, Authentic Brands Group, and NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal—who serves as league commissioner—Dunkman represents the first sports organization dedicated exclusively to competitive dunking.

The competitive field includes Mac McClung, a three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion currently competing for a Spanish professional team, alongside international athletes representing Puerto Rico, China, and the United Kingdom. The tournament victor will secure the inaugural Dunkman World Championship title and claim a $500,000 prize purse, establishing themselves as the sport’s first recognized world champion.
