Defense technology company Hadrian announced a substantial funding round on Thursday, securing $1.37 billion in new capital at an $8 billion valuation. The financing was led by prominent investment firms including WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, and Valor Equity Partners, with additional support from a diverse group of institutional investors.
The company distinguishes itself within the defense sector by focusing on manufacturing infrastructure rather than weapons development. Hadrian specializes in building automated production facilities designed to manufacture components for military vehicles already in service. The company recently expanded its operational footprint by opening its fourth facility in Alabama, which will produce submarine components as part of a public-private partnership valued at $2.4 billion.
This latest funding round brings Hadrian’s total capital raised to approximately $2 billion since its inception. The investment represents strong confidence from major financial institutions, including prominent names such as Andreessen Horowitz, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and Apollo-managed funds. The company had previously secured $260 million approximately one year ago in its Series C financing.
