Prime Video is set to premiere an artificial intelligence-generated drama series titled “Castle Walls,” marking what industry observers describe as the first fully AI-produced show to launch on a major global streaming platform. The historical series, developed by prominent Turkish production company Ay Yapim, consists of two episodes running 15 minutes each and debuts this week on the platform.
The drama centers on the story of Alamut Castle, a fortress located in present-day Iran that gained widespread recognition as a featured location in the video game “Assassin’s Creed Mirage.” The series was written by established Turkish television writers Kerem Deren and Çisil Hazal Tenim. Rather than relying on conventional production methods, the entire project utilized artificial intelligence technologies during development and execution, incorporating systems designed specifically by Ay Yapim’s Singapore-based subsidiary AI Yapim.
The production team utilized multiple AI tools throughout the creation process, including proprietary systems developed in-house alongside commercially available software for various production stages. Notably, the company emphasized that human performers deliver the acting, while professional voice artists provide dubbing in multiple languages. Ay Yapim’s approach prioritized using licensed content for training its AI systems and highlighted the significant creative input from human artists and technicians throughout production.
