The series, adapted from Elin Hilderbrand’s 2023 novel, stars Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, a celebrated cookbook author confronting personal grief and life challenges. Hollis organizes a transformative weekend gathering with friends from different chapters of her life at her Nantucket home, where secrets and vulnerabilities surface against a backdrop of coastal luxury.
Series creator Bekah Brunstetter expressed enthusiasm about expanding the story, noting plans to explore different characters and locations in future seasons. She envisions a format similar to anthology series like “The White Lotus,” potentially visiting both warm and cold destinations. The ensemble cast includes D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, and Timothy Olyphant, among others.
