Brandon Flowers, frontman of The Killers, has unveiled a new single titled “Tiger’s Blood” ahead of his upcoming solo album. The track, which debuted during his recent performance at Newport Folk Fest, showcases a Springsteen-influenced sound that reflects on cherished memories from the past. The nostalgic anthem features Flowers reminiscing about earlier times with poetic lyrics about youth and fleeting moments.
The single arrives as a preview to Flowers’ forthcoming record “Thrasher,” set to release on August 21st via Island Records. Recorded in Nashville with longtime collaborators Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, the album features contributions from notable country musicians including David Rawlings, pedal steel guitarist Bruce Bouton, and harmonica player Charlie McCoy, who previously worked with Bob Dylan. Flowers has already shared several tracks from the project, including “Paradise” and “Plans.”
The artist has described his venture into country music as unlocking a creative space he has long possessed. In recent statements, Flowers emphasized that this musical direction represents an expansion rather than a departure from his rock roots. He plans to support the album with a fall tour beginning in Phoenix on September 1st and concluding in Las Vegas on October 6th.
